About Devvrat Yoga Kerala

We have founded Devvrat Yoga Sangha with the intention of providing a platform for serious practitioners to enhance their Yoga experience and cultivate their physical, mental, and spiritual practices. By initiating the Yoga Sangha with the goal of uniting Yoga students, teachers, and scholars, we aim to foster a yogic community of committed practitioners who have discovered or seek to discover a sense of purpose in engaging with yogic practices in the modern world. The insights and experiences of Yoga shared through the training, workshops, and retreats at the Yoga Sangha enable you to elevate your practice to a more significant level, whether by deepening or awakening it. The philosophical and spiritual depth of the Yoga Sangha intensifies the overall experience.

As a yogic community, we are dedicated to preserving the ancient wisdom and science of Yoga by studying it thoroughly, promoting it, and making it accessible to a wider audience. This is why a significant aspect of our work is the Yoga Project, which focuses on researching the philosophical, spiritual, and anatomical dimensions of Yoga while bringing together scholars from diverse academic fields. The Yoga Project will facilitate the collection of a considerable amount of valuable data from various disciplines for public benefit. Additionally, one component of the project will engage non-academicians by encouraging them to explore and share their experiences related to Yoga, thereby fostering public discourse and the exchange of ideas. By integrating the wisdom of both Ashtanga and Hatha, the two ancient traditional styles of Yoga, the trainings, workshops, and retreats we offer provide a thorough understanding of the Eight Limbs of Yoga. The emphasis of the practice remains spiritual and meditative in essence, even within the practice of yoga asana. All instructors at the Yoga Sangha are themselves devoted practitioners, ensuring that in addition to proper alignment in asana practice, students acquire profound spiritual and philosophical insights that are relevant in today's world.
