About Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya

Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya used to think that a need should be fulfilled through an educational system that could shape its students as noble and enlightened human beings; selfless, warm-hearted, compassionate and kind. In order to implement these objectives which he had determined in his life for revolutionary change in the discipline of higher learning, After reaching Samadhi in June 1990, his followers and admirers enacted his vision in the form of a university and named it Dev Sanskriti. Acharya's silent revolution movement is now firmly entrenched as Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, which operates with the foremost motivation of offering a confluence of contemporary education with the establishment of human values in the students. The students are required to adopt a humble and divine way of life through which they get advantages from both cutting-edge facilities and ancient traditional practices' wisdom. This makes it possible for the university to give noble citizens who would redirect their efforts toward the aim of a divine and value-based society. The university was set up in the year 2002 under an act (22.01.2002) adopted by the Uttarakhand state legislature and is notified in the gazette vide notification no. (123/vidhayi & sansadiya karya/2002 dated 11.04.2002). The university is rightly accredited by the University Grants Commission and is privately funded by Shri Vedmata Gayatri Trust, Shantikunj, a well-known socio-spiritual institution. The Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya continues to be committed to its vision at inception. This positioned the university as a paragon of a technical and moral institute, and has very aptly met the academia's need for an institution which can provide solutions to contemporary issues with the ancestral wisdom and be able to help build the future of the country.
